Females at The Golden Globes | GLAMOUR

In the 75 year history of The Golden Globes, the only female to take home the award for Best Director was Barbra Streisand for Yentl. This pattern of underrepresentation exists in all four gender-neutral categories at the awards show including Best Director, Best Original Song, Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Score. In the past 25 years, there have been 125 male winners and only 11 female winners in these categories. I designed and built an interactive graphic that highlights just how few women are honored in these categories.
